A chronograph reduced to what it needs. Three working subdials and a date window on a dial that stays open and unhurried. Every complication earns its place, and nothing is there for effect.

Japanese quartz VD53C, a chronograph caliber built for accuracy rather than ceremony. It runs on a battery, needs no winding, and holds time closely enough that you stop checking it against your phone.

316L stainless steel, 42mm across and 11mm deep. At 72 grams it registers on the wrist without pulling at the cuff. The hardened crystal takes the ordinary contact of a day, from doorframes to desks to keys, without carrying it forward.

The subdials are functional, not decorative. Arabic indices keep the face open where Roman numerals would crowd it, and the date sits where it can be read without turning the wrist.

Genuine leather, 22mm at the lug and 21cm long, closed with a deployment buckle instead of a pin. It opens flat, holds its shape, and spares the leather the daily fold that eventually creases a strap.

3 ATM / 30m. Rain on the way in, hands under a tap, a spilled glass. Not a dive watch, and not built to be treated as one.
